Dear friends, the last weekend passed quickly.
The weather was great for my favorite hobby – fishing!
Here’s a brief overview of what happened and a few photos of course 😉
Wonderful day
It was Sunday again. Wonderful and warm, last day of October. The day before, I had received a call from Janos, a friend from our fishing group. He was wondering if we could go fishing along the shores of Skagerrak, around Fevik and Nedenes, and especially on Hasseltangen and Moviga.
Fishing aroud Fevik
The day was great for fishing, the temperature was 12 to 15 degrees Celsius. The wind was calm and the sun was shining, making the autumn day perfect. The fishing started from the coast of Hasseltangen and threw mostly for sea trout. We toured the whole area for about 2 hours without catching anything serious, except for 3 – 4 small pollock that we put back in the water.
After that we moved to the other side, against the small island of Hasløya, where a small bay formed. Janos chose the inner side of the bay and on the first throw he hooked a beautiful sea trout about 1 kg. After a brief struggle, she finally unhooked and disappeared into the sea depths. After about an hour of fishing again nothing. We decided to change places and headed to Fevik.
We went to a place called Breivika. A wonderful area for sea trout. I have caught this fish here more than once. Unfortunately, this day was not ours. After two hours of persistent throwing, nothing happened. The weather was progressing and the day at this time of the year was short.
We started moving along the shore in the direction of Fevik, throwing everywhere and were changing the fishing lures with heavier ones, hoping to catch at least some cod or pollock. Finally we managed to catch two small pollock.
Moviga great success
We continued along the shore until we reached Moviga Bay. It was getting dark and we thought the day was empty when I suddenly hung up on something big. The stick bent and after about 5 minutes of fighting I got a very big pollock. I kept throwing in the same direction and then hooked a big cod.
Janos started to get nervous because I was taking it out fish after fish, but he got nothing yet. But after only 5 minutes he caught a very big cod, then another, and so in less than an hour we both had 12 fish. Cod, pollock and Saithe(Sei). Tired and Satisfied, we headed for the car.
The day finally turned out to be very good for us 😉 🙂 🙂
Thank you for your time, dear friends!
