Dear friend,
Here we are again!
During the last week we have had an amazing and exciting journey. We saw amazing places and like always we tried our luck with fishing.
Today is the first day since we came back home again and we can’t wait to share our experiences with you. And they are so many.
Our followers on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter have already seen a small, but intriguing part of our journey, with beautiful landscapes, sunsets and deep fjords.
With a cup of warm and aromatic coffee on the table, we hurry to download and look at the many photos and movies we have taken with our camera and phones.
The places we visited are many and each of them deserves special attention.
We got up early in the morning on the first day of our trip. After a quick breakfast and the obligatory coffee, we set off. on the road. Our first stop was to visit Aurland and Flåm, about 500 km from the place we live. The trip according to Google Maps was nearly 7 hours.
In the early afternoon we arrived at the planned location. We had decided to stay here for two nights and explore the area. That same evening, we tried fishing here as well. The place was utterly amazing. It was as a piece of heaven had unfolded before us. In one of our next posts, we will introduce you to the sights here that we managed to visit in more detail and pictures – Flåmsbana / the Flam Railway, Stegastein, the beach and pier in Aurland, and many other enchanting places in surrounding area.
The next destination of our trip was Geiranger. On the third day of our travel, we set off there. Our way passed through many picturesque places – we crossed Sogndalsfjorden by ferry, we passed Skei, Loen and Styn. We fished in Votedalselva.
Shortly before approaching Geiranger is the place Dalsnibba, from where an incredible view of Geirangerfjorden is revealed. Definetely worth to see!
Geiranger itself is amazing. With a mediterranean atmosphere, warm evenings and delicious food, this specific location quickly caught our attention. A boat trip the next day was the culmination of the day. We didn’t want to leave this remarkable and magical place.
Ålesund was waiting for us. Only a 2,5 hours’ drive from Geiranger, this beautiful city we had planned to visit long ago. Famous for its architecture, this charming seaside town attracts many tourists. We spent an amazing day here before heading home. And so, 5 exciting days went by! The feeling we had was incredible!
We dedicated the sixth and last day of our trip entirely to fishing, hence we stopped plenty more stunning locations. Lovatnet, Skei, and Eggedal are just some of the names.
Coming up in our next posts, you can expect more detailed information about these breathtaking places!
Thank you for visiting Norway fishing & nature!
We hope to see you again soon!
