The sun was shining, and the day seemed to be wonderful. The weather was quiet, calm, no wind. We decided to make a trip somewhere by the sea. The food and water were taken as well as both rods, just in case. Embraced by the cheerful mood we jumped in the car.
Kaldvell was the point of our destination. It is only 3 km away from Lillesand, a small town in South Norway where we live. Nearby here is a river, that flows into the sea. The area is named after the river. It is a nice place on the shores of the fjord. Here you can find a permanent grill, set up by the local municipality and which can be used by anyone, who would like to make a barbecue. The place is equipped by wooden tables with benches as well, like most of the similar recreation areas in Norway.
The area has good parking opportunities. You can easily park campers. Here you can sunbathe and of course, this is a wonderful place for fishing. There is only one detail that if the summer is very dry and warm, grill is prohibited to protect nature from fire.
The day was wonderful. After grilling, we decided to try the water and jumped into the sea. Small colourful coves with a find sand or well-mown grass and a beautiful sandy seabed are typical for such kind of places.
At one time I decided to show Sara how to fish. After all, I already had some experience. She made her first throw and immediately hooked up a beautiful medium-sized mackerel. She was incredibly happy and by the end she had managed to catch three more fishes. Sara was exited. She liked this new experience and we both decided that fishing is a pleasure, which is worth it.
This way Sara became interested in the fishing and we started going out with fishing rod together.
Thank you for visiting Norway fishing & nature!
We hope to see you again soon!
