Hello dear friends!

Make yourself a cup of aromatic coffee, herbal tea or just something refreshing and enjoy reading! Here is our new story!
The Place
It was a beautiful end of the winter and early spring day in the begning og March. Exactly the time when sea trout is very active. I had gone out on my own to trample a little and try my luck.
After some thought, I chose a place I had never been to – Espeviga, part of Hombursund on the inner side of the peninsula.
The Action
I stood on the very promontory and had a fairly large perimeter of action – about 100 meters. The bottom was perfect for sea trout. The place itself gave me the opportunity to move left and right without problems. I made a few unsuccessful casts and was constantly moving and throwing in different directions. After 1 hour, finally something hit hard and here is a fish on the hook.
The resistance was great, it was obviously a good fish.
I let go of the advance, but kept the fiber taut. At one point the fish managed to jump and I saw a very big fish. A fight ensued, at least 10 minutes.
I had almost exhausted the fish and brought it ashore when I saw its back. Then I looked for my dip nett and realized with horror that I had not taken it. I stepped back slowly but it was slippery and I had to be careful.
Right at the end, as I slid the trout slightly ashore, it made one last effort. It wasn’t that big, because of the fatigue, but somehow the fish got off at the very end in the shallows. I couldn’t even bend down. Feeling free, this beautiful trout twisted, and I quickly disappeared from view. It was at least 2 kg. Disappointed, I headed for the car.
Looking for the Fish
I drove on the bypass, deciding to go under the bridge. This is a very popular place and other fishermen often came. It was almost late in the evening. I was not surprised when I arrived that there was another fisherman there. He was throwing a fly right under the bridge. I stopped the car and took the fishing rod, deciding to cast about 50 meters above him.
I greeted the man and asked how fishing was. He replied that he hadn’t hung anything for an hour or more. Apparently he wasn’t very talkative and I moved on.
The gorge was narrow right here and there was a sea current that the fish preferred. I stood on the shore and watched about 5 minutes of water. At the same time I cast an eye on my colleague, who was stubbornly swinging the fly.
Suddenly, about 20 meters in front of me, there was a splash of water. I turned around and saw only circles. Equpted with 7 g imitation of the fish lure, I threw right where I saw the circles. And it happened unexpectedly! A little bit confused, I had that feeling that the bait had not yet fallen into the water and the fish had already swallowed it.h swallowed the it. This time the distance was not so big, it was very shallow and I rolled quickly without letting go of the advance. I managed to pull the fish ashore. A big sea trout 1.5 kg.
The Fish in the Pan
I passed the man with the fly who was looking at the good catch in amazement. Congratulate me on that. “You’re fast “, he said, and suddenly became talkative, but I read a little bit envy in his eyes. 🙂 Satisfied and tired of nice emotions , I went home.
I called Sara to put the pan on the stove 🙂
We would have fresh sea trout for supper!
Thank you for your time, dear friends!
